Day One
Most students find us after something goes wrong. Sayra walked in before anything had even started.
A State Farm agent hired her and made licensing part of the job from day one. Complete Package purchased, straight to our office, one clear assignment: get licensed.
No insurance background. No idea what to expect. In her own words, quite nervous.
How She Worked
Sayra treated licensing like a job, because for her it was one.
Mornings in the study sessions with everyone else. Then, when the session ended and the room cleared out, she stayed. Earbuds in, head down, filling page after page of notes all afternoon.
She wasn't the loudest student in the room. She was the most consistent one.
Two Near Misses
Three weeks after her first day, Sayra sat for the state exam in the GTA Study Center. Before the test even started, she had a rough experience at check-in that left her rattled. She went into the exam frazzled and missed a passing score by 8.
Ten days later she went back. Missed by 5. Sayra would tell you herself: that one was on her.
Here's the thing about missing by 8 and then by 5. That is not a knowledge problem. That's a finishing problem. And finishing problems can be fixed.
The Adjustment
We tweaked the study sessions, tightened up her review of missed questions, and changed one more thing: her testing environment.
For attempt three, Sayra tested right here in the Study Center. Same room she'd studied in for weeks. No unfamiliar testing center, no repeat of the check-in chaos that threw her the first time.
She passed. Our first student to pass in the Study Center, using our course, start to finish.
Her license is on the wall now, right next to Bianca's. That's the house rule: pass your exam in the Study Center and your license goes up.

Every dark bar represents a full State Simulation percentage score. Blue bars represent the quizzes and drills she used to attack weak areas between simulations.
Instead of wondering whether she was improving, Sayra could actually see her progress.
No Surprises on Exam Day
Sayra's first full State Simulation came in at 75. From there she stacked simulations into the high 70s and mid 80s, with drills in between: custom quizzes, retry-missed sessions, timed runs.
And no, not every score was pretty. There's a 50 and a 60 in that chart. There's also a 100.
That's exactly what practice is for.
You want to find your weak spots in a four-minute quiz, not on exam day.
SAYRA'S MESSAGE TO FUTURE STUDENTS
Her advice to future students, straight from her review: "Watch for the "Not Not" questions".
The state exam loves double negatives. "Which of the following is NOT excluded..." Read it fast and you'll answer the opposite of what's being asked. Sayra drilled these until they couldn't trick her. Slow down, read it twice, and know exactly what the question wants before you answer.
